A Taste of IVF Over 40

First Steps

Posted on: Monday, August 18, 2008

Before we can get started, my niece needs to attend a counselling session with a Melbourne IVF Counsellor and because she is under 25 years old she also needs to talk to the psychiatrist.

This is fine by me … the more certain we are that it’s the right thing to do, the better for everyone.  Wouldn’t it be absolutley dreadful if something went wrong after we were too far down the track.

The appointment is for the 10th of September.  Bit of a wait, but, these IVF people are just so heavily booked, aren’t they?

I’m excited for you to get started down this path. Are you going to go with her to all her appointments? Is she nervous at all about the shots? It must feel good to know your niece will likely have a very special relationship with your child, which will bring richness to your life as well!

Wow! It is all happening. This is wonderful. Honestly, September 10 won’t be that long….really! Oh this is amazing…..please tell me we don’t have to wait until then for an update though??????

Psychiatrist as well? How odd. But yes much better to iron out any wrinkles now than later. It seems like a long way off but it will be here before you know it. Is it just me, or are the days flying by lately?

Thanks for your support sweetie.

Thinking of you this week. Hope all goes well.

Ohhhhhh! Can’t wait for the big update. IVF makes me very impatient, Melba!

Hi! Am checking on my fellow 35+ IF’ers in Mel’s list.

Anyway, how did your session go today?

Hi Hon –

Thinking about you today and hoping everything went just swimmingly. You’ve earned some good luck and I’m hoping it all goes really well from here on out!
